Every referral is more than a placement, it’s a new beginning for a young person. That’s why we work closely with professionals, social workers, and commissioners to ensure each referral is handled with clarity, care, and communication.

We support young people aged 16+ who need stable, emotionally intelligent support in a calm and respectful environment. Whether they’re arriving from a family breakdown, a foster placement, a period of instability, or from another country, we take time to understand their story, and what they need next.
We welcome referrals for young people with a range of support needs, including unaccompanied asylum seekers, care leavers, and those navigating transitions between services.
1. Initial Contact: Referrals can begin with a phone call or an email. We'll gather some key information about the young person’s background, needs, and current situation.

2. Placement Matching: We review our current availability across homes and assess whether we can offer a safe, suitable placement. Our focus is always on finding the right environment, not just any space.

3. Introductory Conversations & Planning: If a placement is suitable, we’ll arrange a call or meeting to talk through expectations, support needs, and transition plans. We can also offer pre-placement visits if needed, to help the young person begin to feel at ease.

4. Placement & Ongoing Support: Once the young person arrives, we ensure a warm, well-supported transition. We maintain regular communication with professionals involved in their care and provide detailed updates, risk assessments, and support plans as required.

We’re present and proactive throughout, from the first call to the final handover. If you’d like to explore placing a young person with Liberty Supported Living, please get in touch today.
