Salary: £11.00 – £12.80
We are seeking candidates with a genuine passion for helping others and a desire to make a real difference in young people’s lives. The Support Workers at our company are directly involved in day-to-day work, and will work with a team of professionals to give our young people the best possible level of support. Our job candidates should be enthusiastic and have an aptitude for helping others, and should have the ability to express empathy and compassion while also maintaining professional boundaries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people to develop life skills and independence. This includes practical skills, health, education, social and emotional support.
- Taking on any administrative tasks linked to the care of children and young people e.g. keeping appropriate records up to date, writing reports, recording incidents reports, reporting young people missing and keeping the Manager up to date at all times with any significant events.
- Working with young people to implement support plans put in place.
- To assist in developing strategies in behaviour management and to take a lead role in managing the young person’s challenging behaviour, implementing the strategies agreed.
- Liaising with other staff, professionals, parents and carers as necessary and maintaining high levels of professionalism at all times.
- Support young people with their finances where necessary, and in line with appropriate our guidelines.
- Promote health, safety and well-being of our young people we support.
- Work positively with colleagues, clients, families and external organisations and professionals.
We are looking for candidates to demonstrate:

- Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
- Exceptional communication skills and patience
- Resilient with a robust and positive nature
- Ability to be creative in meeting the needs of the young adults.
- Ability to work on a rota pattern which could include working every other weekend
